I'm Fernando. By training I'm an engineer; by profession, a consultant. Today I work at a multinational consultancy. But two things have stayed with me always, long before any degree: business and finance.

That curiosity led me to study investing from a young age, and already in university I started testing the market on my own: first the way someone learns to swim by jumping in, later as a serious hobby I've never dropped since.

Two environments

Over the years I've arrived at an idea that's the starting point of this project: the market has two environments. One mathematical, the economic environment: financials, interest rates, geopolitics, cycles. And one human, the social environment: what we feel and how we react when money is on the line. Truly understanding the market isn't mastering one of the two, but understanding both and, above all, how they connect to each other.

Why the human environment matters more than ever

Never before have so many people had direct access to the market with so little experience. That means what moves us as humans (what makes us react, what triggers fear or euphoria, what turns a piece of news into collective panic or euphoria) weighs more and more on how prices move.

My idea is to let this simmer slowly: an agent capable of identifying the triggers of human behavior and cross-referencing them with market behavior, to understand the logic behind both.

Why I'm sharing this in the open

This website is the notebook of that process. Here I'll share how I build the agent, what I learn along the way, and, once it's ready, what it analyzes and what portfolio it proposes. I'm sharing it openly because I believe the process is worth as much as the result, and because I want anyone to be able to follow the reasoning, not just the headline.
